Technical Training for Success

Meet Delphine Takoh the fonder and CEO of DelTaah Tech Consulting based in Maryland. Here she answers a series of questions that reveal a little more about who she is and what motivates her.

1. Give us your elevator speech for DelTaah Tech Consulting (DTT)

DTT Consulting is a training/consulting firm which is focused on changing lives and giving people the opportunity to earn a good income without any student loans. In fact, giving what we charge our students, it’s like we helping them for free!

2. What motivated you to start DTT Consulting?

As a nursing school dropout, I was surprised to find myself making six figures as a Linux Engineer (my first IT job) whilst my former classmates who finished their nursing programs, owed thousands of dollars in school loan, were making way less.  This was my own way of giving back and helping people identify another career path.

3. Tell us about your current role at DTT Consulting

I am the CEO at DTT Tech and my husband is the Chief Operating Officer.

4. What certification programs do you have going on?

In addition to the Cybersecurity training which runs for 8 weeks, we also offer CAP (Certified Authorization Professional) and Security Plus Certifications.

5 How do you ensure your students succeed?

After the 8 weeks of technical classes, we support our students in preparing their resumes and then get them into free review classes where we go over interview questions and answers – this goes on until they get jobs.

6. What are some of the skills that are needed in today’s job market?

In my opinion being able to communicate effectively is a skill that is essential in every job environment. To get started you need to sell yourself through oral and written communication and after that you also need to effectively interact with team members and managers, if you are to execute your job responsibilities and be an asset to your team.

7. What is your message to aspiring African?

First and foremost, gone are the days that you need a college degree to get a six figure job. For any African that has just recently migrated to the United States and is over 20, consider a crash course like the one we offer – then once you secure a good paying job, you can go ahead and enroll in college to further your education, if that is the path you would like.

8. What is your favorite thing to do when you aren’t working?

I like to socialize with family and friends, building connections and ensuring a bit of balance to keep the body and soul together.

9. What are the three things you are most grateful for?

I am most grateful to God almighty for giving me this vision. I am also grateful to family and friends who have always been there to support me from day one of this vision; I am grateful to my students for choosing DTT Consulting for their career needs.

10. What motto or advice do you live by?

I live by the motto that consistency and persistence always yields fruits.  Anybody can do anything if they are really determined.
