Bessie Tanji is a talented artist based in Maryland who creates personalized event backdrops for a wide variety of events such as weddings, baby-showers, birthday parties, graduations and special events – she also does event decor.  With two years of design experience in backdrops and decor under her belt, Bessie puts a lot of care and detail into her work, ensuring that clients who uses her service receives a unique and beautiful design which highlights the event. 

Bessie taught herself how to use a variety of craft paper and similar materials to create butterflies and flowers, which people initially bought to decorate their homes. While thinking about how to grow her craft – Bessie realized that she could do backdrops and event decor for clients and that’s how Krafted Designz was founded. Bessie has been able to perfect her artistic skills and she can create a range of products, in different color schemes, including chair covers, photo frames, paper flowers, bouquets, event backdrops etc. Bessie is perfecting her God given talents everyday, as she keeps up with the trends and spends a considerable amount of time on perfecting her craft. 

Creating backdrops takes many days of detailed and hard-work to draw, cut and place the flowers. Bessie informed us that “clients are loving my work and realizing how much time and effort it takes to design a backdrop with paper flowers and also decorating an event hall” – Krafted Designz is gradually transforming!

Bessie’s business goal in 2020 is to grow Krafted Designz beyond the DMV area and to partner with more event vendors. She looks forward to working with clients who are looking to personalize their events in a creative and unique way!
